A piece I made for the 2025 Art Advent Calendar on Bluesky. These six OCs are a collection of the smartest scientists and engineers (and the one guy in the middle who's just happy to be here) who use real-world science to solve problems across the Civilization of Unison- a six-dimensional empire at the center of the universe.
Unison is big enough and technologically advanced enough that no theme is off the table. The Dimension-traveling technology opens up billions of potential worlds with unique chemical structures, stellar orbits, climates, races, and societies. While they live in general harmony, natural divisions will always exist and need reconciliation. Even more, while Unison has lasted for billions of years, there are still laws of physics that even it can't overcome, and the actions of our pluck heroes may be the difference between universal peace and the end of intelligent life as we know it.
