The Thyrokhys (Anthroporaptor whejii) started out as normal animals. Standing 3ft (1m) tall, they were towered over by other animals in their ecosystem. What they lacked in strength and size, they made up for in speed and wit. Fiercely loyal and daring, there was already little a pack of Thyrokhys could do when they needed to.
Thyrokhys history as a civilization begins with the fall of the Caltigara. While record-keeping wasn't common until late into their civilization, their scholars generally place the event roughly 150 years before the event of the Takaret Stave. This may be a short amount of time for us, but given their decidedly short lifespans and the enhanced effect of their sacred monolith, this gave surprisingly ample time to establish all the outposts and sub-packs we see there.
